Reds claimed RHP Abel de los Santos from the Nationals; optioned him to Double-A Pensacola.
The Nationals put de los Santos on waivers to make room for Reynaldo Lopez on the 40-man roster and the Reds quickly pounced. The 23-year-old appeared in two games with the Nationals last season and owns a 3.67 ERA and 39/23 K/BB ratio over 34 1/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season.

Angels claimed RHP Abel de los Santos off waivers from the Reds.
It’s the second time since July that de los Santos has been picked up via waivers. The soon-to-be 24-year-old held a 2.81 ERA with over a strikeout per inning between Double- and Triple-A this season and spent a brief time in the majors the last two years.

Reds recalled RHP Abel de los Santos from Double-A Pensacola.

Angels designated RHP Abel de los Santos for assignment.
The Angels also DFA’d Blake Parker and Jose Valdez. De los Santos was claimed off waivers from Cincinnati last month. The right-hander compiled an 11.12 ERA over five major league appearances this past season.

Angels sent RHP Abel de los Santos outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
The Angels opted to outright de los Santos off the 40-man roster after they designated him for assignment over the weekend. The 24-year-old right-hander pitched reasonably well between Double- and Triple-A this past season, but was rocked to the tune of an 11.12 ERA in five appearances at the major league level.

Nationals purchased the contract of RHP Abel de los Santos from Double-A Harrisburg.
The 22-year-old was sporting a 2.65 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 35/7 K/BB ratio in 37 1/3 innings this season with Double-A Harrisburg. He should do well in middle relief role initially and has the potential of a late-inning guy.

According to Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.com, the Nationals are calling up Abel de los Santos.
The 22-year-old right-handed reliever has a cool 2.65 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 35/7 K/BB ratio in 37 1/3 innings this season with Double-A Harrisburg. And de los Santos was incredibly dominant in 2014 between Low-A and High-A ball. He should be nice addition to the Washington’s middle relief corps.

Nationals optioned RHP Abel de los Santos to Double-A Harrisburg.
The 22-year-old right-hander appeared in just two games with the big league club, registering a 5.40 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 3/1 K/BB ratio in 1 2/3 innings. He’ll continue to provide organizational bullpen depth in the minor leagues.

Nationals optioned RHP Abel de los Santos to Triple-A Syacuse; re-assigned RHPs Austin Voth and Wander Suero to minor league camp.
De Los Santos has some upside as a reliever, but the 23-year-old could use some more seasoning. He’ll be up at some point this season.

Nationals acquired RHP Abel de los Santos and INF Chris Bostick from the Rangers in exchange for LHP Ross Detwiler.
De Los Santos, 22, had an impressive 1.92 ERA and 65/18 K/BB ratio over 56 1/3 innings between Low- and High-A this past season. He’s obviously a ways away from the majors.
