Marlins acquired INF Abrahan Ramirez, C Agustin Ramirez and INF Jared Serna from the Yankees for OF Jazz Chisholm Jr.
The 19-year-old infielder signed with the Yankees out of Venezuela prior to the 2022 season. He has been playing for the Yankees’ rookie league team in the Florida Complex League where he has slashed an impressive .348/.447/.513 with two homers, 24 RBI, six stolen bases and a 30/29 K/BB ratio in 49 games this season. He’s obviously several years away from being an option at the big-league level for the Marlins.
