Adam Oller has signed with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Oller will take his talents to the defending KBO champions after making eight starts last season for the Marlins where he finished with a serviceable 5.31 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 36/22 K/BB ratio across 42 1/3 innings. The 30-year-old righty will aim to rebuild his value overseas in Korea, which has worked in the recent past for a laundry list of journeyman-type starters.

Adam Oller has elected free agency.
Oller will hit the open market after refusing an outright assignment to Triple-A Jacksonville. Multiple outlets report that the 30-year-old is expected to explore the overseas market. A good season in Japan or Korea could set Oller up for a decent market in the majors in 2026 or 2027.

Adam Oller went five innings and allowed four runs to get a win Friday over the Blue Jays.
Oller didn’t pitch well, but he did pitch better than Jose Berrios, so he’s able to get the win. He finishes his 2024 season with a 5.31 ERA in eight starts with Miami, and could be back as an organizational depth for the Marlins in 2024. That obviously won’t make him a fantasy-relevant arm, of course.

Adam Oller struck out seven while allowing two runs in 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Saturday.
Oller was a bit fortunate to allow only the pair of runs, as he gave up eight hits and two walks. He was able to get through some jams thanks to the aforementioned strikeouts, however, so credit where credit is due. Oller has a 5.06 ERA, but the 29-year-old has looked better than that number in his starts. He’ll make one final appearance against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Adam Oller allowed six hits and three runs with two walks and two strikeouts over five innings in a loss to the Nationals on Sunday.
It’s hard to figure out how Oller keeps runs off the board. The Nationals put at least one runner on base in every inning after the first and barely swung-and-missed, but just couldn’t break the game open. It’s very hard to trust him against the Braves in his next scheduled start.

Adam Oller allowed six runs on seven hits in five innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.
It’s a disappointing effort for Oller who pitched well against the Cubs and Giants in two of his last three starts. However, he was unable to build off that in a much easier matchup, posting a 19 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW on the day. He had held the Pirates to two runs through the first four innings, but a disastrous fifth inning, including a three-run homer to Andrew McCutchen, sealed his fate. He’ll take the mound in another plus matchup this weekend against the Nationals.

Adam Oller allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Phillies on Thursday.
Oller gave up five hits, walked five and struck out six. He had allowed just one run in his first five innings, but the Phillies broke through in the sixth inning. Oller allowed a home run to Bryson Stott, walked J.T. Realmuto and gave up a single to Brandon Marsh before he was removed in the sixth inning. Realmuto and Marsh both scored after Oller left the mound. He had allowed just one run in 11 2/3 innings with 14 strikeouts in his previous two starts. The 29-year-old right-hander is set to face the Pirates on the road next week.

Adam Oller didn’t factor into the decision despite shutting out the Giants over six innings Friday.
Oller allowed only two hits with two walks, and he struck out eight. This is a weird season. The 29-year-old has been among the worst pitchers in baseball in his previous seasons — short in appearances, to be fair, but ugly results nevertheless — but he’s pitched well in his last two outings while allowing just one run in 11 2/3 innings. Fun, but it doesn’t mean you should trust Oller against the Phillies on Thursday.

Adam Oller allowed just one run over 5 2/3 innings with six punchouts on Sunday in a win over the Cubs.
This was one of the best starts of Oller’s career. It was just the fourth time he’s ever completed five innings and allowed one or fewer runs and his six strikeouts matched a career-high. Obviously, those aren’t high bars to meet and that should tell you something about how successful Oller has been as a starter. He’s set to face the Giants in San Francisco next time out.

Adam Oller was lit up for five runs over five runs over 4 2/3 innings on Monday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.
We saw this coming, right? Oller predictably got roughed up in his first big league start since last April, surrendering a pair of homers, including a third-inning grand slam to Adrian Del Castillo. He struck out two and also walked four batters. Not great. He’s obviously not a recommended fantasy option when he faced the Cubs on Sunday in another home outing.
