Athletics sent RHP Adrián Martínez outright to Triple-A Las Vegas.
At least someone is actually heading to Las Vegas from Oakland today. Martínez was removed from the Athletics’ 40-man roster last weekend and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 27-year-old righty made 11 appearances last year in the big leagues.

Athletics designated RHP Adrián Martínez for assignment.
It clears room on the 40-man roster for the recently-acquired Tyler Nevin. The 27-year-old made 11 appearances with Oakland last year with a 5.70 ERA and 20/8 K/BB ratio over 23 2/3 innings.

Athletics optioned RHP Adrián Martínez to Triple-A Las Vegas.
The 27-year-old hurler was knocked around in his two Cactus League appearances, giving up four runs on three hits and a walk in just 1 1/3 innings. He’ll continue to serve as extra pitching depth for the A’s at Triple-A Las Vegas.

Athletics recalled RHP Adrián Martínez from Triple-A Las Vegas.
He’ll replace struggling right-hander Dany Jiménez in the A’s bullpen. The 26-year-old hurler has made 11 appearances with the big league club this season, compiling a 5.70 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and a 20/8 K/BB ratio over 23 2/3 innings of work.

Athletics optioned RHP Adrián Martínez to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Martínez has been sent down to enable the Athletics to bring up some extra bullpen depth ahead of Saturday’s game against the Astros. The 26-year-old righty has registered a lackluster 5.70 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 20/8 K/BB ratio across 23 2/3 innings (11 appearances) this season.

Athletics activated RHP Adrián Martínez from the 15-day injured list.
The right-hander had been shelved since April 24 due to inflammation in his right forearm. He returns to a troublesome 6.75 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 14/5 K/BB ratio through 17 1/3 innings on the season, which honestly fits right in with the rest of the Athletics’ bullpen. He’ll give manager Mark Kotsay another option that’s capable of working multiple innings.

Adrián Martínez (forearm) allowed three runs over 1 2/3 innings Friday in a minor league rehab appearance for Triple-A Las Vegas.
Martínez is working his way back from right forearm inflammation and will likely need a couple additional outings before rejoining Oakland’s bullpen in a long relief role.

Adrián Martínez (forearm) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Las Vegas.
Martínez landed on the shelf back in late April with right forearm inflammation, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s ready for a rehab assignment already. The 25-year-old righty should be ready to return sometime later this month in a multi-inning relief role.

Adrián Martínez has been shut down from throwing for the next five days due to right forearm inflammation.
The good news here is that Martínez’s MRI didn’t reveal any structural damage and he isn’t expected to require a lengthy absence. The 25-year-old righty landed on the injured list earlier this week with a right elbow strain.

Athletics placed RHP Adrián Martínez on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to April 23, with a right elbow strain.
The 25-year-old hurler has -- like most of the Athletics pitchers this season -- struggled through his first 17 1/3 innings on the season, posting a miserable 6.75 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and a 14/5 K/BB ratio. No word yet from the club on how long he’ll be shelved for. Sam Long -- who was acquired from the Giants late Sunday night, will join the active roster to take his place.
