Rangers re-signed INF Alex De Goti to a minor league contract.
De Goti last appeared in the big leagues back in 2022 when he got into a pair of contests for the Astros. The 30-year-old journeyman infielder spent last year in the Rangers’ system, hitting .225/.323/.279 with one homer and 11 steals in 257 plate appearances between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. He’s merely extra organizational infield depth at this stage of his career.
  • TEX Shortstop #59
Rangers signed INF Alex De Goti to a minor league contract.
De Goti has bounced around the last couple seasons after getting into a pair of contests for the Astros during the 2021 campaign. The 29-year-old infielder will presumably head to Triple-A Round Rock as emergency middle infield depth for the defending World Series champions.
  • 2nd Baseman #59
Twins acquired INF Alex De Goti from the Marlins for cash considerations.
He’ll join Triple-A St. Paul. De Goti signed a minor league deal with the Marlins over the winter after hitting .253/.352/.377 with nine homers and eight steals over 135 games with the Astros’ Triple-A affiliate last year. The 28-year-old offers some upper-level versatility for Minnesota.

  • MIA Starting Pitcher #39
Marlins reassigned RHP Eury Pérez, LHP Enmanuel De Jesús, INF Alex De Goti and C Paul McIntosh to minor league camp.
Pérez is one of the top pitching prospects in baseball and might have the stuff to excel in the majors right now. Unfortunately, the Marlins don’t have an opening in their starting rotation entering the 2023 campaign, but his time is coming. The electrifying 19-year-old righty allowed 10 runs (nine earned) on 14 hits with a 10/2 K/BB ratio across 10 2/3 innings (four appearances, one start) this spring in Grapefruit League action. He has a chance to reach the majors sometime later this year.

  • 2nd Baseman #59
Marlins signed SS Alex De Goti to a minor league contract.
De Goti made his big league debut back in 2021, getting into a pair of contests for the Astros, and spent all of last year at Triple-A Sugar Land, slashing .253/.352/.377 with nine round-trippers and eight steals in 577 plate appearances over 135 games. The 28-year-old shortstop provides Miami with some emergency middle infield depth heading into the 2023 season.

  • 2nd Baseman #59
Astros optioned INF Alex De Goti to their alternate training site.
De Goti went 2-for-6 with one RBI and two runs scored in his two games played with Houston.

  • 2nd Baseman #59
Astros purchased the contract of IF Alex De Goti from the team’s alternate training site.
The Astros are short-handed following the news that several players such as Yordan Alvarez, Jose Altuve, and Alex Bregman would be heading to the injured list for undisclosed reasons.
