Orioles signed OF Andres Aguilar to a minor league contract.
The Orioles are hoping Aguilar can become the first Guatemalan player to make the majors. ''We’re really high on this kid,’' Orioles director of international recruiting Fred Ferreira said. “He has some power [and] can play center field.’' Aguilar, 18, is expected to begin the 2012 season in the Gulf Coast League.
