Reds signed C Andy Yerzy to a minor league contract.
Yerzy was a second-round pick in the 2016 MLB Draft but has yet to reach the big leagues and is a non-prospect at this stage of his career. The 26-year-old backstop has spent the past few years as emergency catching depth in the upper minors for the Diamondbacks, Reds and Brewers.

Brewers signed C Andy Yerzy to a minor league contract.
Yerzy signed a minor league deal with the Reds and started 17 games before the organization released him in August. He latched on with a team in independent ball, hitting .286/.457/.429 across 12 games. He should give the Brewers depth at catcher in the upper levels of their minor league system.
