Rangers acquired OFs Antonio Cabello and Josh Stowers from the Yankees for INF Rougned Odor.
The Rangers are reportedly picking up most of Odor’s contract, so it looks like they actually got something of value in return. Cabello was pretty interesting in prospect circles a couple of years ago, though he hit just .211 with three homers and a .611 OPS over 56 games in rookie ball in 2019. Injuries played a part in his struggles. Still, he’s just 20 years old and makes for a nice gamble for Texas.
