Phillies acquired 1B Art Charles from the Blue Jays for RHP Michael Schwimer.
Charles, a 20th-round pick of the Jays in 2010, batted .236/.381/.528 with 13 home runs and 34 RBI in 64 games last year between rookie ball and Low-A Vancouver. The well-built 22-year-old has a long way to go.

Brewers acquired 1B Art Charles from the Reds in the Triple-A phase of the Rule 5 Draft.
Charles batted .352/.461/.699 with 29 home runs and 101 RBI in 96 games this past season for the New Jersey Jackals of the independent Canadian-American Association. Triple-A would obviously be a big step up from that league. Double-A pitching might be too much for him too. Charles is 26 years old.
