    Bibens-Dirkx confirmed the news on Instagram on Sunday while also announcing that he and his wife are expecting their first child. The 33-year-old posted a 5.27 ERA and 71/34 K/BB ratio in 114 1/3 innings with the Rangers over the past two seasons. He required surgery on his left knee last September and was outrighted off the Rangers’ roster following the season.

    The 31-year-old was plucked from the Independent Atlantic League during the 2016 season and went on to post a 4.34 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 62/25 K/BB ratio over 85 innings in 17 appearances (13 starts) at Triple-A Round Rock. He’ll add much-needed rotation depth for the Rangers.
