Cubs OF prospect Bijan Rademacher slugged two homers Tuesday in a win for Double-A Tennessee.
Rademacher has been a force of nature this season. Right now he leads the Southern League in home runs (four), total bases (27), batting average (.452), on base percentage (.585) and slugging percentage (.871) and is also tied for second in both runs (10) and RBI (11). He’s hit safely in 10 of 12 games this year and has only struck out three times in 41 plate appearances. The 24-year-old is quickly outgrowing Double-A. A promotion to Triple-A Iowa seems inevitable at this point.
