Rockies 1B prospect Brian Mundell exploded for four hits including two home runs Wednesday in a win for Low-A Asheville.
Mundell got off to a relatively slow start, hitting .188 over his first eight games. Since then, he’s hit an unbelievable .478 with 12 RBI. He’s now tied for fifth in the South Atlantic League with seven doubles and is seventh in batting average at .359. Mundell has done almost everything right this year, except on the base paths. He’s been gunned down on all three of his steal attempts.
