White Sox activated LHP Cam Booser from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
Booser has wrapped up a minor league rehab assignment and will remain stationed at Triple-A Charlotte through the All-Star break. The 33-year-old lefty, who missed just over three weeks with a shoulder strain, has struggled to an inflated 5.11 ERA across 24 2/3 innings (30 appearances) this season in his White Sox debut.

White Sox placed LHP Cam Booser on the 15-day injured list with a left shoulder strain.
Both Booser and Davis Martin (forearm) are hitting the injured list before Friday’s game against Blue Jays. The 33-year-old will be forced to miss at least two weeks, but a return around the All-Star break seems like a more realistic — and possibly optimistic — timeline.

Mike Vasil worked around a walk in his lone inning of work for a save on Wednesday against the Reds.
As unlikely a save as we’ve seen all season, Vasil came from the clouds to close this one out for Chicago. While his stuff isn’t anything to write home about, the White Sox don’t necessarily have a closer and don’t win enough games to give us any indication as to who will get their next save opportunity. Lefty Cam Booser got the last chance on Sunday and Jordan Leasure has the best stuff in this bullpen, but is used more as a middle inning fireman. It’s likely more trouble than it’s worth to try and find saves from this bullpen.

Steven Wilson picked up his second blown save of the season on Tuesday night, serving up a game-tying solo homer to Elly De La Cruz in the ninth inning.
Wilson was called upon to face the heart of the Reds’ lineup with the White Sox clinging to 1-0 advantage on Tuesday. He wound up giving up that game-tying blast to De La Cruz after a six-pitch battle, then rebounded to retire each of the next three hitters in order. Wilson was then the beneficiary of the White Sox scoring four times in the home half of the 10th as he snagged his first victory of the season. Cam Booser, who had received the White Sox’ previous save chance, worked a scoreless 10th inning in this one and may be the arm to speculate on in the White Sox’ bullpen for those desperate in saves.

Cam Booser tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Marlins on Sunday.
While the White Sox don’t have a set closer, Booser is certainly in the mix for high leverage opportunities at the moment. He blew a save on Tuesday night against the Royals and was used in a tied game in the seventh inning Friday against the Marlins, picking up the win. There wasn’t a save opportunity Friday as the White Sox led by four in the ninth inning, though Brandon Eisert finished that game. Fantasy managers desperate for saves can look to Booser in deeper formats.

Cam Booser suffered a blown save against the Royals on Tuesday night, giving up two unearned runs on two hits and a walk in just 1/3 of an inning.
The 33-year-old southpaw was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning, but he made the grave mistake of allowing a leadoff walk to Mark Canha. Drew Waters then reached on an error and Freddy Fermin on a bunt single that loaded the bases to start the inning. After getting Kyle Isbel to pop out, Mark Canha scored on an error by shortstop Jacob Amaya. Bobby Witt Jr. then delivered the final blow with and walk-off RBI single to deep center. The White Sox still don’t have a set closer and even though Tuesday’s chance wasn’t entirely his fault, don’t expect Booser to earn the next opportunity.

White Sox acquired LHP Cam Booser from the White Sox for RHP Yhoiker Fajardo.
Booser should be a big part of the White Sox bullpen after forging a 3.38 ERA in 43 2/3 innings for the Red Sox in 2024. The left-hander is due $800,000 in 2025, and isn’t eligible for free agency until 2031.

Robert Murray of FanSided reports that the White Sox will acquire Cam Booser in a trade with the Red Sox.
No word on the return, but multiple outlets report that the White Sox will send Boston a minor league pitcher. Booser was a solid performer for the Red Sox in 2024 with a 3.38 ERA over 43 appearances with a 43/16 K/BB over 42 2/3 innings. He’ll likely be a high-leverage reliever for the rebuilding and then some Chicago staff.

Red Sox optioned LHP Cam Booser to Triple-A Worcester.
Booser was used in the Red Sox’ 5-4 loss to the Yankees on Friday and the team is swapping him out for a fresh arm. He has a 3.38 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 43 strikeouts in 42 2/3 innings for Boston this year.

Red Sox activated LHP Cam Booser from the 15-day injured list.
Booser missed four weeks due to elbow inflammation. The 32-year-old former indy leaguer has a 3.00 ERA in 42 innings out of Boston’s bullpen as a rookie.
