White Sox non-tendered OF Mike Tauchman, 1B Tim Elko and LHP Cam Booser.
All three players are now free agents. Tauchman has the most MLB success of the trio, but all three have had enough success to suggest they’ll be with new clubs next year. That’s the nicest thing we can say. It is worth noting that Elko underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL, however, and likely won’t be ready until the middle of 2026.

White Sox recalled LHP Cam Booser from Triple-A Charlotte.
Booser replaces Martín Pérez, as Pérez was placed on the 15-day injured list with a shoulder strain. Booser will operate in the middle innings for the final week-plus of the campaign.

White Sox optioned LHP Cam Booser to Triple-A Charlotte.
The White Sox wanted a fresh arm after Monday’s bullpen game, and Booser had thrown 41 pitches the last two days. He has a 4.82 ERA in 35 appearances for the White Sox this season.

White Sox recalled LHP Cam Booser from Triple-A Charlotte.
Booser was sent down exactly two weeks ago, and now the 33-year-old will rejoin the Chicago bullpen as a middle-inning option. The 33-year-old is essentially auditioning for a job in the White Sox relief corps in 2026.

White Sox optioned LHP Cam Booser to Triple-A Charlotte.
The move opens up a spot on the active roster for Martin Perez. Booser had a 4.85 ERA in 26 innings for the White Sox this season. He was acquired from Boston this offseason in a trade for RHP prospect Yhoiker Fajardo, who is now the 25th-ranked prospect in Boston’s system after posting a 2.50 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 53/18 K/BB ratio in 54 innings as an 18-year-old in Rookie Ball and Single-A.

White Sox recalled LHP Cam Booser from Triple-A Charlotte.
Chicago’s bullpen shuffle continues. Booser provides the White Sox’ overworked relief mix with a fresh arm heading into Sunday’s series finale against the Guardians. The 33-year-old southpaw has struggled to an inflated 5.11 ERA across 24 2/3 innings (30 appearances) this season at the highest level.

White Sox activated LHP Cam Booser from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
Booser has wrapped up a minor league rehab assignment and will remain stationed at Triple-A Charlotte through the All-Star break. The 33-year-old lefty, who missed just over three weeks with a shoulder strain, has struggled to an inflated 5.11 ERA across 24 2/3 innings (30 appearances) this season in his White Sox debut.

White Sox placed LHP Cam Booser on the 15-day injured list with a left shoulder strain.
Both Booser and Davis Martin (forearm) are hitting the injured list before Friday’s game against Blue Jays. The 33-year-old will be forced to miss at least two weeks, but a return around the All-Star break seems like a more realistic — and possibly optimistic — timeline.

Mike Vasil worked around a walk in his lone inning of work for a save on Wednesday against the Reds.
As unlikely a save as we’ve seen all season, Vasil came from the clouds to close this one out for Chicago. While his stuff isn’t anything to write home about, the White Sox don’t necessarily have a closer and don’t win enough games to give us any indication as to who will get their next save opportunity. Lefty Cam Booser got the last chance on Sunday and Jordan Leasure has the best stuff in this bullpen, but is used more as a middle inning fireman. It’s likely more trouble than it’s worth to try and find saves from this bullpen.

Steven Wilson picked up his second blown save of the season on Tuesday night, serving up a game-tying solo homer to Elly De La Cruz in the ninth inning.
Wilson was called upon to face the heart of the Reds’ lineup with the White Sox clinging to 1-0 advantage on Tuesday. He wound up giving up that game-tying blast to De La Cruz after a six-pitch battle, then rebounded to retire each of the next three hitters in order. Wilson was then the beneficiary of the White Sox scoring four times in the home half of the 10th as he snagged his first victory of the season. Cam Booser, who had received the White Sox’ previous save chance, worked a scoreless 10th inning in this one and may be the arm to speculate on in the White Sox’ bullpen for those desperate in saves.
