    Braves released LHP Chasen Shreve.
Shreve was cut loose earlier this week after posting a bloated 5.60 ERA across 17 2/3 innings (five appearances, four starts) for Triple-A Gwinnett. The 34-year-old lefty has made 368 relief appearances in the big leagues dating back to 2014. He was in Braves camp this spring as a non-roster invitee.

Braves reassigned LHP Chasen Shreve and RHP Jordan Weems to minor league camp.
The latest cuts reduce Atlanta’s spring training roster to 50 players. Shreve and Weems were in camp as non-roster invitees battling for spots in the club’s season-opening bullpen. They’ll open the year back at Triple-A Gwinnett as emergency relief depth.

According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the Braves signed LHP Chasen Shreve to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Shreve’s contract will pay him $1.3 million if he pitches MLB innings. The 34-year-old pitched just one inning for Colorado in 2024; however, he had a 2.62 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and 35/12 K/BB ratio in 34 1/3 Triple-A innings split between the Rockies, Yankees, and Rangers. He figures to operate as organizational depth for the Braves who lost left-hander A.J. Minter from this bullpen this off-season.

Rockies LHP Chasen Shreve has elected free agency.
Shreve has opted to hit the open market again after passing through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment last week by Colorado. The 34-year-old lefty has pitched extremely well this season at the Triple-A level and figures to get a shot somewhere in the coming days.

Rockies designated LHP Chasen Shreve for assignment.
The 34-year-old southpaw appeared in just one game during his time with the Rockies, allowing just one hit in a scoreless inning of work. He could attract interest on waivers once again, as he probably deserves an opportunity at the big-league level.

Rockies selected the contract of LHP Chasen Shreve from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Shreve was just signed to a minor-league contract Sunday, and it didn’t take him long to get added to the active roster. The 34-year-old will give the Rockies a middle-innings arm for the remainder of 2024, but there’s obviously no fantasy significance in his role.

Rockies signed LHP Chasen Shreve to a minor league contract.
The 34-year-old southpaw was released by the Yankees on August 1, but it didn’t take him long to latch on elsewhere. He was outstanding at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season — registering a 1.89 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and a 35/12 K/BB ratio over 33 1/3 innings of work. It shouldn’t take him long to work his way into the big-league bullpen with the Rockies.

    Yankees released LHP Chasen Shreve.
Shreve latched on with New York back in late June as emergency left-handed relief depth and never wound up making it back to the majors. The 34-year-old southpaw shouldn’t have too much trouble finding a new opportunity after compiling a sparkling 1.89 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 35/12 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings (30 appearances) this season at the Triple-A level. He’s made 367 career appearances in the big leagues dating back to 2014.

Yankees signed LHP Chasen Shreve to a minor league contract.
The Rangers declined to call up Shreve in spite of his 1.61 ERA in 22 1/3 innings for Triple-A Round Rock, so he opted out of a deal and will aim for a second stint with the Yankees. The 33-year-old had a 3.92 ERA in 180 appearances for the Bombers from 2015-18.

Rangers re-signed LHP Chasen Shreve to a minor league contract.
The 33-year-old hurler opted out of his contract with the Rangers last week, but after exploring the open market he decided his best option was to stay with the Rangers and return to Triple-A Round Rock. He should get a chance to work out of the big league bullpen at some point during the 2024 campaign.
