Yankees recalled RHP Cody Eppley from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Eppley was claimed off waivers from the Rangers earlier this month and has been unscored upon while striking out nine over 6 1/3 innings at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He’ll be used in middle relief.

Yankees optioned RHP Cody Eppley to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
The move clears a spot on the 25-man roster for D.J. Mitchell. Eppley, 26, was claimed off waivers from the Rangers earlier this month and posted a 1.69 ERA in four appearances with the Yankees. Mitchell, of course, is expected to be used in long relief.

Rangers designated RHP Cody Eppley for assignment.
The move opens up a spot on the Rangers’ 40-man roster. Eppley posted an 8.00 ERA over 10 appearances with the big club last season and had a 3.90 ERA and 55/34 K/BB ratio over 55 1/3 innings with Triple-A Round Rock. There’s a chance he makes it through waivers unclaimed.

Yankees recalled RHP Cody Eppley from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Eppley will function as a middle reliever while David Robertson recovers from his left oblique strain.

Andy Pettitte left Wednesday’s start against the Indians in the fifth inning after being hit in the lower left leg with a comebacker off the bat of Casey Kotchman.
On the day CC Sabathia was placed on the disabled list, the Yankees’ rotation was dealt another blow on the injury front. Pettitte attempted to stay in at first, but was pulled from the game after throwing a warm-up pitch. He allowed three hits and one walk while striking out seven over four-plus innings before being replaced by Cody Eppley.

The Yankees have added right-hander Cody Eppley to their ALCS roster.
He’ll take the roster spot of Eduardo Nunez. The Yankees are going with 12 pitchers and 13 position players for their ALCS matchup against the Tigers.

Twins signed RHP Cody Eppley to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Rochester.
Eppley was released by the Yankees last week after posting an 8.53 ERA in 19 innings of relief at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The right-hander will probably struggle to reach the major league level with the Twins.
