    The 28-year-old hurler only appeared in four games with the big league club, posting a 4.66 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 9/2 K/BB ratio across 9 2/3 innings of work. He’ll miss the remainder of the 2022 campaign. Adam Oller was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move on Friday.

    Wiles will join the A’s after posting a 5.40 ERA across 143 1/3 innings in Triple-A. He made 26 starts in the minors, but it’s yet to be determined what role he’ll play with Oakland. Domingo Tapia was waived in the corresponding move.

The 27-year-old righty registered a respectable 4.19 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 82/20 K/BB ratio across 86 innings (23 appearances, 11 starts) last year at Triple-A Round Rock in the Rangers’ system. He’ll augment the division-rival Athletics’ organizational pitching depth this season.
