Joseph

Joseph, 32, last appeared in the majors with the Giants, Athletics and Pirates during the 2019 campaign. He’ll provide the Nationals with some organizational infield depth moving forward.

Joseph, 31, has batted just .170/.213/.261 over 94 plate appearances across parts of three big league seasons. He’ll offer the Cubs depth at a few infield positions.

The 30-year-old appeared in 17 games between the Athletics, Giants and Pirates in 2019, slashing a putrid .170/.213/.261 with a homer and 10 RBI in 94 plate appearances. He’ll continue to provide minor league infield depth.

Joseph, 30, was designated for assignment on Saturday after going 1-for-16 in eight games with San Francisco. He has a .151/.193/.245 batting line in 57 total plate appearances this season at the MLB level.

The 30-year-old only saw 17 plate appearances during his limited time at the big league level this season, slashing a putrid .151/.193/.245 with one homer, seven RBI and an 11/3 K/BB ratio. He’s likely to pass through waivers unclaimed.

Joseph was recently designated for assignment by Oakland. The 30-year-old enjoyed success in Triple-A this year, but it’s yet to translate during his limited chances in the majors. Fantasy owners can steer clear.

Joseph hit only .189/.225/.324 in 11 games. The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster.

Joseph is replacing Khris Davis, who was placed on the paternity list on Wednesday. The (usually) infielder is hitting .207 with a .571 OPS over 29 at-bats with the A’s in 2019. No thanks.

Piscotty was pulled from Saturday’s game and is sitting out Sunday with a right ankle injury, but he’s expected to be fine after Monday’s off day. Chad Pinder is in right field. The A’s are also sitting Khris Davis, as Jurickson Profar is in the designated hitter spot and Corban Joseph is at second base.

Profar hasn’t been as bad the rest of the season as he was in April, but he also hasn’t been good at any point, either offensively or defensively. It was disappointing that the A’s didn’t give Franklin Barreto more of a chance to take his job. They seem to have more faith in Joseph, even though he’s not really an upgrade with the glove. He probably will be better with the bat, though.
