Rockies sent RHP Cory Riordan outright to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Riordan, 25, has a 4.20 ERA over parts of five seasons in the minors, including a 5.37 ERA and 100/25 K/BB ratio over 142 1/3 innings this year with Double-A Tulsa. The 2007 sixth-round pick simply hasn’t done anything to justify a spot on the 40-man roster.

Korea’s LG Twins have signed Cory Riordan.
A former sixth-round pick, Riordan’s career in the states was going nowhere, as he posted a 6.17 ERA over 89 frames this past season as a 27-year-old between Double- and Triple-A. He’ll now see if he can have better luck overseas.

Tigers signed RHP Cory Riordan to a minor league contract.
The 29-year-old spent the 2015 season pitching in the Independent Atlantic League, registering a 3.62 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 82/22 K/BB ratio in 117 innings. Prior to that, he spent the 2014 season pitching in the Korean Baseball Organization after seven seasons of toiling in the minor leagues for the Rockies. He’ll function as rotation depth for the Tigers.
