    Padres signed RHP Daniel Stange to a minor league contract.
    Stange was released by the Diamondbacks last month after allowing eight runs (seven earned) over his first 2 2/3 innings with Triple-A Reno this season. The 26-year-old right-hander is currently pitching with Double-A San Antonio and will serve as organizational depth.

    The Diamondbacks needed an extra arm out of their bullpen after Leo Rosales went down with a foot injury. Stange, 24, has a 3.87 ERA over parts of five minor league seasons, averaging 9.6 K/9. He posted a 2.89 ERA over his first eight appearances with Reno this season.
