    He’ll be taking the place of Francisco Liriano, who is out with a concussion. Liriano will miss a minimum of seven days, meaning he won’t be available for the rest of the ALDS. Barnes spent most of 2016 in the minor leagues but was serviceable in 12 relief outings for Toronto this year (3.95 ERA in 13 2/3 innings).

    He’s been replaced on the roster by reliever Danny Barnes. Liriano suffered a mild concussion after getting hit by a line drive late in Friday’s Game 2 win over Texas. He’ll miss a minimum of seven days. Liriano has been working out of the Blue Jays’ bullpen this postseason.
