Mets signed 1B Dario Pizzano to a minor league contract.
Pizzano, 27, was a 15th round pick out of Columbia by the Mariners in 2012, and he has hit relatively well with a .283/.363/.424 line over seven seasons in the Seattle system; reaching Double-A. He’ll likely be a first baseman at Double-A Binghamton with a chance to reach Triple-A, but it’d be a major upset if he spent any time with the Mets in 2019.
