    The 22-year-old struck out six batters in the game but was only allowed to work six innings after reaching his pitch limit. Baker was considering one of the top junior college prospects available in the 2012 draft coming out of Western Nevada, and the Indians made him their fifth-round pick. In his full-season debut last year, Baker posted a 3.63 ERA and 117/62 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 143 2/3 innings at Low-A Lake County.

Baker posted a 2.84 ERA and 10/1 K/BB ratio over 12 2/3 innings for the Double-A affiliate of the Indians in 2017 after returning from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery. He was claimed off waivers by the Brewers in late November.

This will be his third team in under two months. Baker threw 12 2/3 innings with the Indians’ Double-A affiliate in 2017 after returning from Tommy John surgery. He owns a 3.58 ERA over 48 starts and 17 relief appearances in the minors, but he has missed significant time in recent years due to injury.
