Ibarra is not contagious, so he’ll remain Ft. Myers, Florida with his Twins teammates and try to get better with rest. The 24-year-old left-hander had a 1.93 ERA in 60 2/3 innings last summer in the minor leagues and was hoping to be considered for a big league bullpen job.

Ibarra was diagnosed with Hepatitis B last month and has been taking it easy thus far in camp. The bullpen will mark the beginning of Ibarra ramping up his activities as he tries to catch up. The 24-year-old was lights out last season, posting a 1.93 ERA between Double-A and Triple-A, and he could still win a job in the Twins’ bullpen with a strong spring.

Ibarra, 26, earned the promotion by posting a 2.25 ERA and 29/5 K/BB ratio over 24 frames at Salt Lake. He’ll be making his major league debut when he gets into a game.

The 26-year-old is already stationed at Triple-A, but was passed through waivers to create a spot on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old southpaw owns a 5.57 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 40/13 K/BB Ratio over 32 1/3 innings at Triple-A.

Ibarra pitched well in two outings, allowing one run in four innings. He’ll bounce between Triple-A and the majors a lot this season. C.J. Cron was called up from Salt Lake to take Ibarra’s roster spot.

Ibarra was diagnosed with Hepatitis B last month but is still going through tests. The left-hander entered camp with a shot at winning a bullpen job, but his illness has likely effectively ended those chances.

Ibarra, 26, made two relief appearances for the Angels last season and held a 5.43 ERA with over a strikeout per frame at Triple-A. He’ll provide left-handed relief depth.

Ibarra was removed from the Twins’ 40-man roster during the 2014 season, where he posted a 4.22 ERA and 58/28 K/BB ratio over 64 relief innings between Double- and Triple-A. The 25-year-old provides some bullpen depth for the Angels.

Ibarra was designated for assignment earlier in the week to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. The 25-year-old owns a 4.13 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 55/28 K/BB ratio over 61 innings between New Britain and Triple-A Rochester this season.

This move protects Ibarra from hitting free agency and allows the Twins three more years to work on Ibarra’s control. The 24-year-old southpaw registered a smooth 1.93 ERA over 60 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this past season. He misses a lot of bats, but a 4.3 BB/9 rate in the minors isn’t going to cut it because Ibarra isn’t a strikeout machine.
