Emerson Frostad went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI for West Oahu of the Hawaiian Winter League on Tuesday.
Frostad, 23, was converted from a third baseman into a catcher this year and hit .320/.389/.553 in 291 at-bats for Single-A Bakersfield. He’s unlikely to make enough progress defensively to become a starting catcher in the majors, but he has a chance to establish himself as a useful bench player.
