Mariners optioned INF Eric Campbell to Triple-A Tacoma.

Mariners recalled INF Eric Campbell from Triple-A Tacoma.
It’s the first time back in the big leagues for the 34-year-old since he appeared in 40 games with the Mets during the 2016 season. He was off to a terrific start at Triple-A Tacoma, hitting .353/.389/.412 in his first 19 plate appearances.

Mariners signed INF Eric Campbell to a minor league contract.
Campbell, 34, was part of the Athletics’ player pool last season but didn’t see any time in the majors. In fact, he hasn’t played in the big leagues since 2016.

Athletics added INFs Eric Campbell and Robert Puason, RHPs Wandisson Charles and Miguel Romero and OFs Luis Barrera and Brayan Buelvas to their player pool.
Campbell will report to Oakland, taking the roster spot of Jorge Mateo, who was traded to the Padres. The other five players will report to the A’s alternate site. Puason is 17 and has yet to play an inning of pro ball, but he’s considered one of the club’s top prospects.

Athletics re-signed INF/OF Eric Campbell to a minor league contract.
Campbell, 32, batted .276/.382/.492 with 16 homers over 94 games with the A’s Triple-A affiliate in 2019. He hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2016 as a member of the Mets and it’s unlikely that changes next year.

Athletics signed INF/OF Eric Campbell to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Campbell, 31, batted .313/.420/.445 with six homers last season at Triple-A in the Marlins organization. The utility player hasn’t appeared in the majors in a couple years but has a decent shot to see big league action with the A’s at some point.
  • NYM Third Base Coach #5
David Wright (neck) is out of the Mets’ lineup again on Tuesday.
Wright revealed Monday that he’s dealing with a herniated disk in his neck, but the Mets have resisted placing him on the disabled list so far. It appears that Eric Campbell will be sent down to Triple-A to make room for James Loney on the active roster. Wilmer Flores is starting at third base Tuesday while Loney will make his Mets debut at first base.
  • SEA 1st Baseman #14
Mets optioned 1B/3B Eric Campbell to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Campbell has batted just .159/.270/.222 in 74 plate appearances this season at the major league level. He’s making room on the roster Tuesday for James Loney.
  • NYM Third Base Coach #5
David Wright is not in the Mets’ lineup Friday.
Wright played the last two days after missing two games with renewed discomfort in his back. Manager Terry Collins said that the third baseman is just getting a night off in this one, though. Eric Campbell is at third base.
  • MLB 1st Baseman #9
Lucas Duda (back) remained out of the Mets’ lineup Sunday.
Duda has been in and out of the lineup for the last week with a sore back. He’s considered day-to-day. Eric Campbell is filling in again at first base. The Mets also have Rene Rivera at catcher in place of Kevin Plawecki.
