Astros designated RHP Evan Englebrook for assignment.
Englebrook, now 28, was drafted in the ninth round of the 2004 amateur draft, but has yet to climb past Triple-A. He had a 6.48 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP through 23 2/3 innings of relief this year for the Round Rock Express.
