Phillies released RHP Franklin Perez.
Perez, who struggled to reemerge as a prospect after Tommy John surgery in Oct. 2002, had a 4.96 ERA while acting as Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s closer last season. He’ll be a part of another Triple-A bullpen next year.
