Braves signed RHP Jacob Wallace to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old right-hander spent each of the last three seasons in the Royals’ organization. In 2025, he posted a 4.46 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 45/17 K/BB ratio over 42 1/3 innings in 26 appearances at Triple-A Omaha. He’s likely ticketed for the bullpen at Triple-A Gwinnett to begin the 2026 campaign.

Royals acquired RHP Jacob Wallace from the Red Sox for RHP Wyatt Mills.
The 24-year-old hurler was originally a third round draft pick of the Rockies from the 2019 draft. He went to the Red Sox in September of 2018 in the Kevin Pillar deal. Wallace spent the 2022 season at Double-A Portland where he registered a 3.81 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 76/49 K/BB ratio over 56 2/3 innings in 47 appearances. He’ll add bullpen depth for the Royals.

Wallace is the player to be named that completes the Kevin Pillar deal with the Red Sox. The 22-year-old hurler was the third-round pick of the Rockies from the 2019 draft. He posted a 1.29 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 29/9 K/BB ratio and 12 saves over 21 innings at Low-A Boise in 2019. A reliever of his pedigree, he could be on the fast track to the big leagues and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him debut with the Red Sox at some point in 2021.
