Jamey Carroll expects to be back in the Expos’ lineup today.
Carroll has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, but feels well enough to play against Philly today. Use him if you need him in your fantasy lineup.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll had a career-high four hits Wednesday.
That takes Carroll to seven hits on the season. His big day might earn him another start, but he has very little value even in NL-only leagues.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll is probably going to continue to see increased playing time at shortstop in place of a struggling Cristian Guzman.
Carroll has played in 82 games and is hitting .236 with a .314 on-base percentage. Neither number is particularly good, but both are easily better than Guzman’s .188 and .231.

Jamey Carroll was given Wednesday’s game off to hopefully end the slump he has been in for the past couple weeks.
Carroll is just 2-for-18 in his last five games and has just one hit in his last 17 at-bats with runners in scoring position. Jason Smith started at second in his place.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll tonight is making his first start since he hurt his ankle on Tuesday.
With Luis Gonzalez bothered by sore wrists, Carroll is playing second base tonight.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll scored four times while collecting three hits and two walks in a 14-8 win over the Nationals on Wednesday.
Included in the four hits was Carroll’s third homer of the season, and the outing also raised his batting average to .335. We doubt he’ll continue playing this well, but Carroll should remain a regular in the short-term. He’s 21-for-49 this month and has to be owned in some of the deeper mixed leagues out there.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in the Rockies’ 4-3 win over the Nationals on Monday.
Carroll was caught stealing for the sixth time in 11 attempts, but except for his basestealing, he’s excelled for the Rockies. Since he’s hitting .425 in 40 at-bats so far during June, he’ll keep playing regularly at second base, leaving few opportunities for Omar Quintanilla.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored in a win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.
Carroll, who was already an organizational favorite, is 6-for-9 with a homer in his last three games. He was already playing quite often, but the recent surge should result in him getting the majority of starts at second base in the short-term.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll went 3-for-3 with two walks as the Rockies defeated the Giants 6-3 on Sunday.
Carroll is 9-for-16 with five walks over his last seven games. With Luis Gonzalez going on the disabled list, he should get the majority of starts at second base and be worth using when the Rockies are at home.
  • WSH 2nd Baseman
Jamey Carroll, who has missed three straight starts, walked as a pinch-hitter Friday against the Giants.
His injured ankle felt well enough that he wasn’t removed for a pinch-runner following the walk. Perhaps he’ll be back in the lineup this weekend.
