Bilous

Bilous went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment last week by the Guardians. He’ll remain with the Guardians as extra organizational pitching depth.

Bilous was claimed off waivers from the White Sox last month and has been removed from Cleveland’s 40-man roster entirely. It’s possible he’ll sneak through waivers and stick around as organizational pitching depth.

Bilous will open the impending regular season at Triple-A Columbus as extra organizational pitching depth. The 25-year-old righty was claimed off waivers last month from the division-rival White Sox. He has a decent shot at making his big league debut this year.

Bilous was designated for assignment last week and will remain in the American League Central. The 25-year-old showed major control issues last season while posting a rough 6.30 ERA over 21 starts and 10 relief appearances between Double- and Triple-A, but he also struck out 131 batters in 105 2/3 innings. Cleveland will take a shot on him.

Bilous has been jettisoned from the White Sox’ 40-man roster to make room for newly-acquired reliever Franklin German. The 25-year-old righty posted a bloated 6.30 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 131/79 K/BB ratio across 105 2/3 innings (31 appearances, 21 starts) last season between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte.

Bilous has been added to the White Sox’ 40-man roster and will be protected from selection in next month’s Rule 5 Draft. The 24-year-old righty posted a 5.76 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 106/32 K/BB ratio over 79 2/3 frames between High-A Winston-Salem and Double-A Birmingham last year.
