Angels acquired RHP Jason Hoppe from the Rangers for international slot compensation.
Selected in the 27th round in 2014, the 23-year-old Hoppe had a 4.97 ERA and 38/10 K/BB ratio in 38 innings over the past two seasons with Low-A Spokane. He’s not much of a prospect.
