Jay Rainville made his debut for Single-A Fort Myers yesterday and allowed one run in six innings.
Rainville, the 39th selection in 2004 draft, was 8-2 with a 3.77 ERA, 83 H and 77/27 K/BB in 88 1/3 IP for Single-A Beloit. He doesn’t project quite as well as a starter as some of the Twins’ other young arms, but he is a prospect.
