Mahoney lasted just one day with the Orioles in his most recent call-up. Look for him to be recalled when rosters expand in September.

Mahoney will serve as infield depth for the Orioles while Wilson Betemit recovers from a wrist ailment. The 25-year-old is doubtful to hold any sort of fantasy value.

Mahoney was up for just a few days and was hitless over three at-bats. He’ll return to a .256/.312/.355 batting line with five home runs and 38 RBI in 85 games this season at Triple-A Norfolk.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Danny Valencia, who was acquired from the Red Sox on Wednesday. Mahoney, 25, appeared in two games with the Orioles this past season and batted .265/.319/.389 with 10 homers and a .708 OPS in 132 games at the Triple-A level.

Mahoney has been out since late April with a right hamstring strain. With Logan Morrison (knee) and Casey Kotchman (hamstring) also due back soon, Mahoney might be sent to Triple-A once healthy.

Mahoney is fully recovered from his late-April hamstring strain, but there’s no room for him on Miami’s roster. He will get regular playing time at the Triple-A level.

Mahoney was placed on the disabled list April 28 with a right hamstring strain. He’ll beat Logan Morrison (knee) back to the Marlins’ active roster but will probably be sent back to Triple-A when LoMo is deemed fully healthy. Mahoney, 26, carries no fantasy value.

He had been slated to start his rehab assignment last week, but obviously he’s been delayed a bit. With Logan Morrison and Casey Kotchman also nearing returns, Mahoney might be assigned to Triple-A once healthy.
