Padres acquired SS Jorge Quintana, LHP Nestor Cortes, and cash from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for OF Brandon Lockridge.
Quintana is an 18-year-old shortstop who is hitting .264/.349/.403 in the Complex League this season. He does have 19 steals in 50 games and seems to have a solid sense of the strike zone, but he’s a long way away from maturing as a player.
