Marlins acquired RHP Jose Arias and RHP Tyler Bremer in exchange for RHP Jacob Turner.
Arias, 23, has put up a 1.77 ERA and 51/17 K/BB ratio over 40 2/3 innings at the Low-A level this season. He wasn’t ranked before the season by Baseball America among the Cubs’ top-30 prospects but has seen an uptick in performance this year with a full-time move to relief.
