Ari Alexander of KPRC2 in Houston reports that the Astros will receive minor league right-hander Juan Bello from the Cubs in exchange for Ryan Pressly.
Bob Nightengale of USA Today adds that the Astros will be sending $5.5 million to the Cubs in the deal to help offset some of his $14 million salary. Bello, 20, pitched well at Single-A Myrtle Beach in 2024 — registering a 3.21 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 91/28 K/BB ratio across 89 2/3 innings in his 22 starts.
