Phillies re-signed RHP Justin Friend to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old hurler posted a 3.79 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 57/43 K/BB ratio over 71 1/3 innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley in 2013. He’ll continue to function as organizational depth for the Phillies.
