Cardinals prospect Kyle Conley missed a cycle by a double Thursday for low Single-A Quad Cities.
Conley decimated the New York-Penn League after being drafted in the seventh round out of Washington last year, hitting .385/.452/.752 with eight homers and 16 doubles in 109 at-bats. He’s a month away from turning 23 and he’s not particularly athletic, so he can’t afford a misstep as he climbs the ladder. Still, no one has told him yet that he’s not really a prospect.
