    Orioles released RHP Luis Lebron.
Lebron, 27, still isn’t fully recovered from Tommy John surgery and failed to make an appearance in the minors this season. He’ll likely try to sign elsewhere as organizational depth.

Orioles prospect Luis Lebron underwent Tommy John elbow reconstructive surgery on Tuesday in Alabama.
Lebron, 25, had not thrown a pitch this season. He finished 2009 with a 2.54 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and a 91/33 K/BB ratio in 52 relief appearances between Single-A Frederick and Double-A Bowie. Hopefully he can get back on track once his recovery is complete -- probably around next August.

Orioles sent RHP Luis Lebron outright to Single-A Aberdeen.
He successfully cleared waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week to make room for 2011 first-round pick Dylan Bundy on the 40-man roster. Lebron, who underwent Tommy John surgery last May, has a 3.38 ERA and 10/3 K/BB ratio over eight innings this season between Aberdeen and the Orioles’ rookie league team.

Orioles designated RHP Luis Lebron for assignment.
The O’s needed to clear a 40-man roster spot for first-round draft pick Dylan Bundy, who was signed to a major league contract at Monday’s deadline. Lebron, a 26-year-old righty, has posted a 5.06 ERA in 202 2/3 minor league innings while also battling elbow problems. He underwent Tommy John surgery in May of 2010.
