White Sox re-signed RHP Luke Shilling to a minor-league contract.
Shilling missed nearly three years due to Tommy John elbow reconstructive surgery and the global pandemic, but came back strong during the 2021 campaign, posting a 2.95 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 27/8 K/BB ratio across 18 1/3 innings (16 appearances) at High-A Winston-Salem. The 24-year-old righty, who was selected in the 15th round back in 2018, will give the White Sox some additional minor-league pitching depth moving forward.
