Single-A West Virginia’s Mark Rogers left his start last night in the second inning because of a finger blister.
Rogers missed a couple of weeks with a blister earlier this season. ''It was the same hand as earlier in the year and he will probably miss his next start,’' manager Ramon Aviles said. ''But it’s not as bad as the first one was.’' Rogerts, the fifth pick in the 2004 draft, is 1-7 with a 4.70 ERA, 68 H and 83/49 K/BB in 76 2/3 IP in the South Atlantic League.

2004 first-round pick Mark Rogers, returning from right shoulder tightness, pitched a scoreless inning Tuesday for the Rookie AZL Brewers.
Rogers, who was pitching at Single-A Brevard County, had been out since the middle of last month.

Mark Rogers allowed one hit in seven scoreless innings and struck out 10 Thursday for Single-A Brevard County.
Rogers, a 2004 first-round pick, is 1-2 with a 4.73 ERA, 55 H and 84/37 K/BB in 59 IP in the Florida State League. There’s a huge amount of potential here, but he’s still very inconsistent at age 20 and the command troubles could contribute to arm problems down the line.

Brewers reinstated RHP Mark Rogers from the restricted list.
The move restores Rogers to the Brewers’ 40-man roster. Rogers began the year with six games remaining on the 25-game suspension he was handed last season for testing positive for a banned stimulant. Recovering from surgery to both wrists, he is currently in extended spring training, but will soon report to Triple-A Nashville. Rogers has just 10 innings of major-league experience, all of which came in 2010.

Brewers optioned RHPs Mark Rogers, Mike Fiers, Amaury Rivas and Wily Peralta to Triple-A Nashville; RHP Santo Manzanillo to Double-A Huntsville.
Rogers has had numerous injury issues and has six games remaining on last year’s 25-game stimulant suspension, but the Brewers were encouraged by how he looked this spring. “This is best my arm has felt in a long time,” the righty said. Peralta is the team’s top pitching prospect, but he needs more seasoning and there’s no room for him in the rotation, anyway.

Mark Rogers is recovered from carpal tunnel surgery.
Rogers still has six games remaining on last year’s 25-game stimulant suspension, but he’ll be ready to rock once that punishment has been served. The 26-year-old righty posted a 9.34 ERA in 44 1/3 minor league innings last season. He’s likely to open 2012 at Triple-A.

Mark Rogers will be sidelined for a few days after straining his hamstring during an intrasquad game Saturday.
It won’t affect his ability to be ready for the start of the season, but Rogers is a longshot to make the team, anyway. The 26-year-old righty posted a 9.34 ERA in 44 1/3 minor league innings last season and has six games remaining on last year’s 25-game stimulant suspension.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said Monday that Mark Rogers is getting close to his innings limit.
Mike Fiers is also nearing his innings limit, but Roenicke indicated that Rogers is closer to a shutdown and that the possibility will be discussed after Monday’s start. The 26-year-old right-hander has logged 119 innings between the majors and minors this season after throwing just 44 1/3 innings last year while dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome on both wrists.

The Brewers will recall right-hander Mark Rogers from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.
The Brewers haven’t made it official yet, but he’ll almost certainly take Zack Greinke’s place in the rotation and start Sunday against the Nationals. Rogers, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2004 First-Year Player Draft, tossed 10 innings with the Brewers back in 2010 and has a 4.72 ERA and 74/49 K/BB ratio over 18 starts at the Triple-A level this season. It might just be a spot-start, so most fantasy owners can afford to wait and see.
