In his first game since being demoted, Matt Sulentic went 1-for-4 Friday for SS Single-A Vancouver.
Sulentic hit .354/.409/.479 in 144 at-bats for Vancouver last year after the A’s made him a third-round pick out of high school, but he was a bust in the Midwest League this season, hitting .175/.234/.218 in 206 at-bats. Just 19, he’s still a prospect. However, he offers little on defense and doesn’t project as a 25-homer guy. His margin for error is rather slim.
