    Phillies released RHP Michael Ynoa.
Ynoa was in camp on a minor-league deal and failed to secure a spot in the Phillies’ Opening Day bullpen. The 29-year-old righty spent the 2020 campaign in the Athletics organization, but didn’t appear in the big leagues. He owns a 4.42 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 53/39 K/BB ratio over 59 career innings at the major-league level.

Phillies signed RHP Michael Ynoa to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 29-year-old hurler spent the 2020 campaign in the Athletics organization, but did not appear in a big league game. Ynoa hasn’t pitched in the major leagues since 2017 and owns a 4.42 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 53/39 K/BB ratio over 59 career innings at the game’s highest level. He’ll add bullpen depth for the Phillies.

    Royals released RHP Michael Ynoa.
Ynoa was signed to a minor league contract in November, and looked like he had a chance to pitch for the Royals in 2019 with some solid spring training performances. He struggled to throw strikes in the PCL, however, posting a 4.57 ERA and 14 walks in 21 2/3 innings for Triple-A Omaha.

Royals signed RHP Michael Ynoa to a minor league contract.
Ynoa did not play MLB-affiliated ball in 2018 after getting released by the White Sox in mid-March, but he has pitched well in the Dominican Winter League this offseason. The former top prospect will act as organizational pitching depth for Kansas City leading into the 2019 season. He turned 27 years old in September.

Athletics prospect right-hander Michael Ynoa (elbow) threw a bullpen session Monday in the Dominican Republic.
Ynoa, now 20 years old, hasn’t pitched in a professional game since undergoing Tommy John surgery in August of 2010. However, if he can make it through another bullpen session Friday, he could be cleared to make an appearance in the Dominican Instructional League. “He is free and easy with no problems,” said Athletics’ director of player development Keith Lieppman. “So far, so good.” Barring any setbacks, he is expected to begin the 2012 season at extended spring training before being sent to Class A Vermont. Ynoa has been a major disappointment since receiving a record-setting $4.25 million signing bonus as a 16-year-old in 2008, but the good news is that he still has youth on his side.

Athletics purchased the contract of RHP Michael Ynoa from Low-A Vermont.
Oakland’s big international signing back in 2008, Ynoa has had trouble staying healthy and has had little success in the lower minors for the A’s. But, he’s still just 21 years old and the A’s weren’t willing to risk losing him in the Rule 5 Draft.

Athletics prospect right-hander Michael Ynoa hasn’t reported to camp due to chicken pox.
Ynoa is expected to be stuck at home in the Dominican Republic for another 6-10 business days. The 21-year-old right-hander has been a huge disappointment since getting a $4.25 million bonus as a 16-year-old in 2008, but the A’s still elected to protect him in the recent Rule 5 Draft.

Athletics optioned RHP Michael Ynoa to Low-A Beloit.
Ynoa is no longer a highly regarded prospect, but the Athletics are still expecting big things from him. He’ll be forced to repeat at the Low-A level in 2013 after being limited to just 14 appearances there last season.

Athletics prospect right-hander Michael Ynoa has arrived in camp.
Ynoa was delayed due to a case of chicken pox, but he’s now fully recovered. The 21-year-old right-hander hopes to be ready to pitch in a game in two weeks.

White Sox recalled RHP Michael Ynoa from Triple-A Charlotte.
Ynoa was called up by the White Sox back in April, but didn’t make an appearance. He’ll be making his major league debut if or when he gets into a game. The 24-year-old has posted a 3.90 ERA and 24/12 K/BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season. The former A’s prospect will pitch in middle relief.
