According to Phil Rogers of MLB.com, the White Sox are not looking to add a veteran catcher, partially due to the fact that the stock of Miguel Gonzalez is rising in the organization.
The 23-year-old slashed .254/.326/.349 with two homers and 20 RBI in 53 games between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte in 2013. He’s known as a very good defensive catcher, and owns a 41% career caught-stealing rate in the minor leagues.
