Today in odd injury news: Dodgers outfielder Josh Reddick, who wasn’t in the starting lineup on Saturday or Monday, injured his right middle finger when he got it caught in a hotel door after ordering room service, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports. The Dodgers recently completed a seven-game road trip which took them through Philadelphia and Cincinnati.

Reddick had a good sense of humor about it, quipping, “This is rock bottom.”

The Dodgers acquired Reddick along with Rich Hill from the Athletics in exchange for Frankie Montas, Jharel Cotton, and Grant Holmes. In 71 plate appearances as a Dodger, the 29-year-old Reddick has hit a paltry .152/.211/.167.
