Casey Fien is back in Tigers camp after spending the last few months hopping from team to team on baseball’s waiver wire. The 26-year-old right-hander was designated for assignment by Detroit in late February, claimed off waivers by the Red Sox a few days later, then waived again and picked up by the Blue Jays. Toronto cut him last week, and now he’s back where it all began on a minor league contract with the Tigers (according to MLB.com’s Jason Beck). Fien, a once-promising relief prospect, posted a 1.13 WHIP and a 66/15 K/BB ratio in 58 innings last season for the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens.
