Video: Rowdy Tellez obliterates a baseball

Detroit Tigers v Toronto Blue Jays

Blue Jays first baseman Rowdy Tellez absolutely destroyed a 92 MPH cut fastball from Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi in the third inning of Thursday night’s game in Boston. The two-run blast, which boosted the Jays’ lead to 5-0, was estimated at 505 feet by Statcast.

Statcast isn’t perfect, and that home run wasn’t actually 505 feet. It was still a blast of mammoth proportions. It appeared to carom off of the facing of the second deck in right field, a place few hitters have reached at Fenway Park.

Tellez, 24, now has three homers and six RBI on the season through 11 games.
