According to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com, the Blue Jays are planning to call up left-hander Nick Allgeyer on Saturday.
Allgeyer recorded a 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 10/5 K/BB ratio over 12 innings (two starts) at Triple-A Buffalo this season. The 25-year-old southpaw was a 12th-round selection of the Blue Jays back in 2018. He’ll need to clear COVID protocols before being officially called up, but could make his debut this weekend.
