Oswaldo Sosa made his debut for Double-A New Britain on Sunday and allowed two runs in five innings.
Sosa was 5-5 with a 2.23 ERA, 94 H and 82/36 K/BB in 105 innings for Single-A Fort Myers. He’s allowed just four homers in more than 260 innings over the last two seasons. While the stuff isn’t there to make him a top pitching prospect, the odds seem pretty good that he’ll be able to help the Twins, even if it’s just as a middle reliever.
