Ramon Garcia pitched a one-hit shutout for low Single-A West Michigan on Tuesday.
Garcia, a 21-year-old left-hander, has allowed just 34 hits while posting a 1.05 ERA in 60 innings for West Michigan. The Tigers might have a better idea what kind of upside he has after he moves up to Single-A Lakeland. The Midwest League hasn’t tested him at all.
